I believe husqvarna makes one of if not the lightest commercial trimmer. I believe it is a 323 or 326 model. 9 lbs.

Husky are all 10.2lb or around there. I think the Redmax has a 9.5lb. But 10lb is ok too. I would go with Redmax BCZ2401.
Check them out. 9lbs.
I now a guy who uses and swears by them for their reliability but mainly because of the weight.
We use stihl 110's and we are considering getting one of these for lighter jobs.
Redmax makes a model thats AMAZING! bar none. The redmax tr 2300 weighs 8.8 lbs. Full of fuel. I have 3 of them. Great power, Great cut. I'de give it a 9 out of 10. A little under powered in THICK GRASS! for basic weekley -10 day mowing. Its the best investment i've made. For brush or anything really thick and more than a foot tall. It has little use.
the 223L is listed at 9.0lbs, and while it is not marketed as a full out commerical unit, if you don't need to use a blade it is 323L (which is sold as a commercial unit) with a cable drive instead of the steel driveshaft. If you want blade capability the 326LS is a better choice as it has the steel driveshaft like the 323L but has more torque and does better in heavy weeds while still being lighter than the majority of competing units.
TR2300 specs say 9.5 lbs.
The DOLMAR/Robin MS-22C is the lightest commercial trimmer available, to my knowledge.
Not sure the Robin really has enough power though. It is very light and reliable but not impressed by the head and guard for comm. use.
robin trimmers are one of the lightest if not the lightest
