I have a customer who wants a three sided countertop around a hot tub. I am planning on using block and cultured stone. I don't think she will spring for granite, but I can get 2'deep limestone treads in 6' lenghts for about $175. Will they absorb alot of heat? Any other ideas for a countertop besides granite/

soap stone is nice and easy to work with, you can cut it your self and even do the bull nose yourself with a 3/4" carbide router bit. not sure on its use outdoors, i used it inside.
