How exactly does that trimmer trap work? I can't really tell from the pics on the site.

    The TrimmerTrap works amazingly easily.

They make them for enclosed trailers as well.

    One knob.

Pull it out towards you, and lift up.

    This unlocks the rear.

Lift rear of trimmer out of the "V" hook and let go of the knob.

    Start trimmer.

    to put away....

    Reverse the above operation.

I use the trimmertrap products, but mowerman90 has a sweet setup. I don't remember the brand, but I saw him walk up to the rack with a trimmer in one hand and an edger in the other, and put both on the rack hands free, secured. I know it was a little pricey but as I recall it was fully modular and all aluminum. Maybe he will chime in.

A while back someone had posted photos of the rack he had made for his enclosed trailer using spring clamps, one side of which had been cut down. I searched and searched for that post recently but could not find it. It looked both effective and a good rainy day project.
