linear actuators

    Anyone ever looked into the cost/reliability of using
    a 12VDC actuator for heavy ramp gates?

    I would think it would have to be so large with such a large draw that it would not be cost effective. Now if you used it to supplement a spring assist it may be better but it would still not likely be cost effective.

    if you are looking for a company who makes them try Bear Linear out of Belvedere IL. They just repaired the ram on my Gator-Rator zero turn aerator. Nice people to deal with I think it is a family business but anyway they know actuators.
