Having got tired of paying almost $3 each, I did a bit of looking and found these 2-cycle plugs are ALL the same:

    NGK BPM7A (average price)
Autolite 2974 (low price, advance auto carries), and Xst-2974dp (xtreme start, platinum, high price)
Bosch WSR6F and 7547 (high price, Cr Ni electrode...?)
Champion CJ7Y (average on the high side price)
AC Delco (AC) CS42S (not sure on price, napa carries)

I use these on all the Stihl stuff I can think of, afaik it's one plug fits all stihl, probably work on echo's as well.

Average retail should be ~$1.49 (low 1.15, high 1.89)
If you're paying $2.99 / plug you're paying too much lol.

Are two cycle spark plugs all pre gapped the same?

I just bought one (the cheapest) for my echo trimmer. I bought it from the auto section rather then the mower section. It looked the same almost, I compared the gaps from the one I took out and it looked about the same. It actually worked about the same.. it didn't solve my hard starting problem.

I couldn't find a gap measurement in my manual.
