i have a older little wonder blower with a 9hp honda. I wanted to know if the fan was welded to the crankshaft or just pressed fit because it dosen't slide off easily. Thanks Lawn In Order

It's a press fit, If my memory is right after removing the center screw the hole in the fan has threads for a larger screw to jack it off with.

Take the bolt off holding fan on. Get a 1/2" or 3/4" bolt to fit threads on the fan and thread it in to help push it off. They use loctite on the shaft of the motor for these fans. I did one last September. It was a b&*#@ to do.

older ones dont have the threads to push the fan off. no where to use a puller either. and if you use the "heat and beat" method you take the chance of ruining the crank and the seal.
