I recently landed a decent landscape job demoing and removing a large commercial landscape. The total haul off is around 130 yards of spoils. My plan is to contract a local trucking company to do the hauling, as their rates seem reasonable ($113 per tri-axle load). My question is about loading the tri-axles... I will have a rental track loader and a mini ex for this project. My usual rental company is recommending a Cat 299D (their largest CTL) and a Cat 305D or E with a 36" grading bucket. Will the 299D be able to load a tri-axle? The trucks are big kenworths with a single topper side board if you know what I mean. My other options are to find and contract an owner/operator of or rent a 6 wheel dump, or rent a different or extra machine. Please let me know what your recommendations are. Thank you!
