Location Of Fuel Filter< Please Help!?!?!

    GUYS< please help me sleep at night by answering this question for me


    where is the fuel filter on This lawn mower. Its a briggs and Straton, 6.5 HP engine....Poulan Pro Model. 21" deck, is it in the gas tank somewhere and what kind of fuel filter is it? Please give me as much info as you can, im 16 and not really sure, haha, Thanks for any help

    There may not be an independent fuel filter on the engine. A small screen on the outlet inside the tank may be part of the fuel system.

    What leads you to believe there is a filter that you cannot find?

    You are right Roger, There is no filter per say just the screen you mentioned.

    i guess if i really wanted to i could install a fuel Filter, lol....just buy one and stick it on the fuel line somewhere, haha, Does this "Screen Thing" still filter the gasoline?

    Wouldn't you think if it didn't Briggs would install a in-line filter on them ?

    yea, thats a good point, i cant imagine making an engine and not having some kind of fuel filter, haha
