I found a 2003 Chevy 1500 for sale and was wondering how it would pull a medium sized open trailer with two walk behinds or one large ztr. Also how much do you think it is worth, he wants $3,500. The downsides are that the truck is only a V-6, and two wheel drive, it also has 98,000 miles. The body has some small dents and scratches but overall the truck seems to run well.
    Thanks for your input.

If i were you, i would look into a 2500. If you ever decide to expand, you'll have the truck for it. And at 98,000 miles, prepare to put a few bucks into the truck. Thats around the time where everything went in my 1500. I put in about 5k.

$3,500? Seems kinda cheap. Even if it does take some work it might be a good purchase.

The V6 is a good motor and fuel friendly. I would not hesitate to buy a pickup with a v6. As far as the two wheel drive I would not hesitate on that either...
