I am looking for a new mower, I just moved and will be mowing probably 3 acres. The local dealers have Hustler, Dixie Chopper, Bobcat and yazoo. They did have a 2003 Dixie Chopper XT3200 with 4 hours for $8000. Probably a lot more mower than I need. I want a 61 deck. I don't know a lot about the Yazoo and Bobcat mowers. How do they compare to Dixie and Hustler?

I'd take a dixie over a hustler probably.
But i still swear by Scag.

There is a Scag dealer in the area too. I am going to check them out Tuesday.

scag has a good lineup, and they just introduced a new small one.

Are you only mowing your own place?

Out of that average group of mowers I would take the BobCat or the Hustler.

Probably better parts/service support from BobCat??

All of them are very good mowers. The parts support and customer service with yazoo isn't very good from what i've heard but if the dealer seems to be pretty good I wouldn't be afraid to buy one. Just go around and look at all the machines and get prices and demo. You have a pretty hard decision to make because they are all good machines.

i sell both the hustler and the dixie. for the homeowner go with the hustler
way more user friendly.the V.T.C. is great if you know how to use it right
but it is jumpy.the hustler is real smooth and just as fast.it all comes down to the dealer in the end and what mower you should get they all make a good boat anchor if you cant get service.

Has Hustler implemented the new deck design?
