    Hello everyone,

I have a customer who is looking for a screen from the road abutting his property. Some background on the area:

There is about 240 linear feet in total that this customer is looking to screen off.

    Zone 5 Hardiness

    Woody type environment

Looking for deer resistant trees / shrubs

No more than 25ft tall as they will be planted close to power lines. (Not directly underneath but close enough)

He had suggested Hemlock and Arborvitae but didn't want to deal with wrapping the arborvitaes before winter. They are also not deer resistant.

I was going to go with the Hemlock but am looking for other opinions / suggestions from others.

I am planning to dig using a mini excavator, filling holes with compost, and also using an organic fertilizer at planting.

Please let me know your thoughts and thanks for the help!!!
