I'm not sure what size of mower you are looking @ but the 3000 or 5000 series Toro Zmasters are great. The 2000s are a little light for commercial without cast iron spindles. The adjustable baffle is great on the Turboforce decks are great.

I've mowed with a z master before. Not sure what model. The cut and stripe was awful. Are the bigger machines better?

Exmark does a lot more zt marketing because that is their primary product line. Deere is a good mower, just like Exmark. Demo them both and you can decide.
Just because they sell more Exmarks doesn't translate into a better product.

I have a 04 z-master 72" 26 hp and it does great with the adjustable baffle. better for side discharge than mulching. Exmark has a slight edge there. as for me Toros have been great mowers.

I just post some Photos ON this thread http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=413427

If they didn't cut well I wouldn't be owning them. Compare to Exmark Ones I seen Don't cut well eveybody around here always double cut I never double cut No need for it. Like said I have 10 I run somewhere each week
The years I have are 88,92,95,01,01,05,06,10,11,13 Sizes are 3-72'' 6-60'' 1-50'' which 50'' is my spray rig it doesn't mow anymore
    My biggest lawn is 70acres
    No major problems with.
Quality One of a kind Built well The ride is nice

I've actually been talking with Snyder's about Dixie's myself recently... I didn't realize they have been around for so long. When I found out, it really interested me, I mean, they must be doing something right, right? That being said, I am a long time Walker guy... Just like Dixie, Walker is made in the U.S.A which is important to me. Now, here is the major difference between Walker and most ZTR's... Out Front Deck.... This gives a great cut and contours the ground as well making scalping a non-issue. Cool thing about Walkers is that they offer models in both collection and non-collection, super easy to work on, and the cut is truly phenomenal. Now, just because I am a die hard Walker guy doesn't mean that I don't respect and like other brands. For instance, I run Scag Walk behinds.... Belt drive, love em... I think that lazer z's leave an awesome cut and stripe... Somebody mentioned Bobcat being a good mower for a good price and I think that is true... If you want to go with a stander.... Wright is the only one to go with in my opinion, they wrote the book on standers... Got nothing against Deere, in fact the 7 iron deck comes highly recommended from a lot of folks. But again, before Walker started offering the MB's and MBS', the price point was quite high, however, start by visiting their website and then youtube "Walker product video 2013" They are really easy to deal with as well for everything but especially for getting them to come out for a demo....

What didn't you like about Walker AllPro? Just curious because I am obsessed... And, what type of Exmark walk behinds? That UlraCut deck is truly awesome...
