Dig down 4"
Stone dust base
Where are you located? What kind of stone?
Cold climate - 6" of 3/4" minus, 2" stone dust, lay stone, sweep polymeric stone dust, lightly mist.
Also, be sure to use a layer of commercial duty geo-textile fabric UNDER the aggregate base.
fabric for weeds?
Im in Ny.
no. for stability. and to keep aggregate from inter-mixing with sub-soil.
so it goes below stone dust then?
btw, the stone is called gosian stone, its a local rock out of mass.
sorry its spelled "goshen"
1. How important is the geo-textile below the sub-base?
2. What do some of you more experienced guys think about using mason (paver) sand in joints between pavers?
I've heard several ways of doing things: poly sand, paver sand, and sweeping dry mortar mix..
Thanks for your input.
