What kind are you happy with?
I Love My Stihl hand tools the loppers are sweet
Home depot. 6 years and counting 12.99 if I remeber right
the stihl ones look nice. I would like a set, but not for the price. Same goes for one of their axes.
My Corona bypass pruners have been great.
Wonder what I'm doing wrong.
I have 3 sets of Corona bypass loppers and they SUCK! They do not cut small stuff, only tear it. Then on the large stuff they spread apart, and won't cut either.
Yes, I've checked the bolts holding the blade together and they are all tight.............
Hey, are they sharp? I was having the same problem with my red corona loppers from home depot and i just took a straight file to the blade for a little bit and theyre as good as new (plus a little wd-40). Make sure to sharpen the blade, and not the anvil. The stuff you're trying to cut, you might want to use hand-pruners instead of loppers. Just a thought.
Are they sharp?
They're less than a month old with very little use.........
I guess I'll try sharpening them although they don't look like they need it.
Felco for small one's and Sandvik for large. I think Corona's suck also.
dishboy.... I'm with you on that... Pay a little more and pray you don't leave them somwhere... No but really guys. these 2 brands are worth every dollar....
