A little late getting back to this alland1 but given that some pawnshops do buy equipment from auctions, are you so dense that you believe pawnshop owners don't recognize when some loser with a beatup clunker repeatedly pawns lawn care equpment worth more than his car over a period of months that something ain't right?

    Grammar be damned!

Only good purpose pawnshops serve is it gives me a place to start when equipment is stolen.

And no, I'm not referred to as a lawnboy, wouldn't care if they did as long as they pay!

If all the stolen equipment came from the same pawn shop, then that owner should be dealt with. My whole point was that you can't lump everyone in a certain business together based on the actions of a few. The industry that this forum is for has been fighting negative stereotypes for years, and as long as people like you are still around the industry will never get any better!

You guys should just kiss and make up. this forum is for lco's who can help one another out with advise. Not fight over issues about pawn brokers.

We have a difference of opinion is all. My opinion is that pawn shop operators know that much of the stuff pawned is hot and they choose to turn a blind eye. I concede there could theoretically be an honest pawn shop owner, but don't see how he/she could stay in business for very long.

MAY BE SHADY BECAUSE I THOUGHT LATER AFTER MY JOY OF FINDING SOMETHING IN MY PRICE RANGE WORE OFFF. HOW WERE THEY GONNA SELL IT FROM BACK THERE
. i will say i dont buy off of the streets but i felt a pawn shop was a legit buy. but ii do criuse the pawnshops and remember as much as i hear ppl tell others theyt will be out of buzness that they are sellin and pawnin equipment
