I personally think the problem with the new diesels is all the EPA junk!
I also think that the main problem is the epa standards on diesel trucks. It was a stupid idea that is only hurting the engine companies to try and meet. If i were to get a diesel it would have to be powerstroke 7.3l or a 5.9 cummins but the truck falls apart around it. The only problem is it's hard to find a reasonable diesel truck with low miles. That and with diesel prices right now it's just to high.
Yea I hear ya, I would like to have an 07 classic lifted HD with the Dmax and stacks as my personal vehicle.
Still undecided on which to choose i guess it really comes down to who is going to give me the better deal

Do any of you have any picture that either of these trucks have hauled. If so can you post them. I want to be able to pull a small kubota excavator and a bobcat t250 when needed.
Well after running some numbers it looks like the Ford superduty is going to be cheaper than the Chevy. The big question i have to consider now is go with the v10 or 5.4l? what do you'll think? This truck will mostly be pulling 16ft landscape trailer, but also carry heavy equipment when needed and scrape metal to recycler.
I say v10, enough power for anything you throw at it..
I have an 09 F250 5.4. I pull a 24 ft enclosed everyday with it. The power is fine for an around town work truck. The mileage is not good at all.
I know plenty of people with the 5.4 and do jst fine, One guys pulled a equipment trailer with a backhow and an steeem roller on it (not suggested) and was fine.
