Make concrete out of beach sand?

It should set but I wouldn't recommend it for the long term.
In Newport, RI there was a time (albeit many decades ago) where they used beach sand for home foundations. The foundations now are so soft you can literally dig into them with your finger.
'Mason sand' as its sold around here is 2x washed
