I have a 62" toro with a 27 kohler and have some very thick 1/2 to 3/4 cover belt stips 6" tall by 8' wide wandering will this make a good striper or should I go buy the tor factory roller. please help

We took and put on some 3/8" thick belting, about 6" wide, and bolted it directly to the back of the mowing deck on my Ferris 61". We made it just as wide as the deck. It works great, makes beautiful stripes! Our only concerns were when backing up, whether we'd cut it with the blades, so we cut slits it it about every 6", and whether the rubber would lose its "memory" and not work after a few weeks. So far, we've used it for 8 weeks and had absolutely no problems whatsoever with it, it flexes going on and off the trailer, over rough ground, etc. and doesn't lose the ability to make a nice stripe. Hope this helps, I'm not a pro. Just my 2 cents, what I have done.
