i need help with man hours, i charge $40 per man hour. But when you have two guys working, would it be $80, or somewhere around $60. This fall i plan on running a 3 man crew for leaf removal. What should i charge per hour for 3 men?

$40 per man hr is, $40 per man per hour worked. Example 3 people @ $40 per man hr is 120 per hour for the crew. Then you multiply that by how many hours the crew worked.
    Thanks mike

first off, I hope the $40 per man hour is your internal guide not what you tell clients.

bid by the job not by the hour.

Yesterday I did a $600 job. Removal of Shrubs in a bed area. Spent 2.5 man hours including clean up and dump run. Damn sure didn't charge $40 per man hour.

Second, $40 per man hour is pretty low. I get about $45 for mowing (thanks to Florida pricing) $60 per man hour for mulching and other easy onetime stuff. Trimming and clean up work gets done at $100 per man hour. All of these numbers are adjusted up for difficulty or annoying nature of a client.

    Charge by the job.
