i have just started a small part time skid steer service (im a firefighter and have an extremely flexible work schedule)...i plan on getting sub contracted by GC's, landscapers, hardscapers etc...anyone in need of a skid steer on short notice

i plan on sending out a letter with biz card introducing myself to all local GC's and landscapers to start...i compiled a database with addresses of around 500local companies within a 20 mile radius north of boston...

...what if any response can be expected...im hoping for 3-5% response, is this too high...anyone else try anything like this?

When you are going by a job site just stop in and give them a few cards/flyers. Most of the contractors get so much mail in a day it will probably just get tossed. I think that face to face is the best way to approach them.
