Masport is Australian, distributed in US by Briggs. Dealers were getting a very nice commission on them as incentive to break into the NA market. Lots of good features. Purchased the top of the line commercial model. Great motor, lots of power; TERRIBLE cut quality, in shop 3x for transmission. Was told the cut quality is better in the shorter ranges as its designed for the South Pacific region. Didn't matter to me, a brushhog cut better (Tall fescue, bluegrass, some k31). Crews started leaving it at the shop and taking a $125 Troybuilt or Crapsman instead. Gave it away to a $20 guy
