    Are any of you using hand held GPS units to calculate square footage or acres? If you are, what are the most cost effective and user friendly models? Thanks for your help.

    I don't have a particular model to recommend however you should get a unit that is WAAS enabled.

    with WAAS enabled you may get point accuracy down to 10 ft.

    personally, I really dont see how they are practical for small lots.

    for an acreage, I could see it.

    google GARMIN or LOWRANCE they have many models to look at.
