Forget the wheels - Get a 400 yard hunting range finder from a sporting goods store. Just stand on a corner, and shoot all the distances you want, go home and figure out how many acres the yard has.

It's a measuring wheel.... not a new mower or vehicle....
they all work, most are inexpensive, just get one.

I bought one the other day for $60 at home depot. For whatever reasons, it has a brake on it....:laugh::laugh: guess they figure I might run with it and not be able to slow myself down? I have yet to use for job purposes, just wanted a reason to buy something.

LOL! I was just about to suggest the same walk wheel from Home Depot. Not only does it have a brake; it has a kick stand, too. It works great. The big wheel is very helpful for measuring uneven, turf areas.

I agree the HD wheel works great. $60 bucks. I don't understand the brake thing either. I guess if you wanted to keep your number and had to walk like 50 ft or something, or you could just pick it up.
