Did you run doubles on it before the megs?
I've only ran my lazer through leaf season, so you tell me. April-June, do they save time over doubles, singles?

I paid CASH!!!! 3300 Dollers for a metro HP 15 kaw 48" try deck. I have no use for it yet but i liked how it looked and i said what the heck.
Now if this was my only mower i would go Hydro. Its better in tight areas and on hills.
I think you might want to check around for better prices on a 48. Thats what the floting deck goes for here.
The metro is fixed and the METRO HP has floting deck and bigger tires.
Oh i pick it up today or tommorow.

Yes i have run Doubles and i like them in tall grass and for SPEED, BUT If your in wet or very wet i LOVE Meg-mos. They will help you a lot in wet grass, Wet leaves and so on.

They have a LOT LESS blow out then doubles too. They suck up the grass on the trim side like no other.
Even if you only used them in the wet! they are worth the money.
They also leave a nice finish on wet lawns as the cut goes.

That's where I have most of the problems with my Dane, in the morning dew, and at the blade overlap especially.

I have had two small mounds of grass build up where the blades meet in the back and have had no problem with the cut quality.
I found it nice to just take those two mounds out of the deck instead of scraping.
