We'll be putting down Merit this week and before I go pick it up, do any of you used a granular form combined with fertilizer? Last couple of years we've applied Diazanon 5g for grubs (and chinch) but it was 0-0-0 coated walnut shells. We were planning on a half-rate fertilizer app of 24-6-12 so I though we could kill two birds with one stone if Merit is available coated on a granular fertilizer. Last year was the first year Merit was registered for use in Ontario and we didn't use it. Wanted to hear how it worked out for other guys first. This year everyones using it.
----------
Dave in S.Ontario
www.cutntrim.com

Works well, gets the job done. Be sure it's watered in soon after application.
Lesco offers it in a combo with 24-5-11 and 0-0-7, neither of which achieves your 1/2 rate goal, but if you blended those two...

I'm going to get my partner or one of our employees to ride shotgun with me and he'll put down the half-rate fert app. while I apply the Merit. I'm not going to blend the two cause they require different calibration settings. Anyhow, at least I won't have to make two seperate trips to each customer's home.
----------
Dave in S.Ontario
www.cutntrim.com
