the metro is fixed deck belt drive manual transmission
the viking is fixed deck hydro drive
the turf tracer is floating deck hydro drive

good, better, best type ....for the exmark models

    with SCAg its's
    S
    SW
    SWT

started on a 36" metro myself..they are like tanks, will never leave you broken down, but beat you up when your on one all day long.

Don’t listen to the hydro bulls hit DB. My first mower was a 36 metro. That was in 2000. Still runs great. It will tow you around in a sulky no problem. I use it regularly and it does a great job.

Yup the Metros are super reliable and easy to fix. Not one hit the dump yard. Just massively outclassed by Tracers, at least on our tight lawns

finally got the deck height dialed in for my bahia yards. its an ordeal there is so many different combos of settings with spacers on the castors and even the blades. guy had it set to mow lush thick st aug at 4 in. I had to change every setting to get it down to 2.5 in. changing the rear axel setting is a job

I'm assuming these models of exmark have the ability to bag if need be as well?

You shouldn’t have to drop the motor support on a Metro to get 2.5”. I was getting just under that with max blade and caster spacers and Factory middle position on the motor support.

And had a rake so better cut than level
