I'd tell her $30 to cut $10 more to bag & $10 more if I had to haul it away.

Business is great this season, people calling everyday wanting wanting wanting !!! I hope everyone else is getting the same. If this keeps up I'll have to start hiring. :)

Im finally picking up a few new weekly mows. Got off to a real slow start as far as mowing customers were concerned, but I have been very busy with aerations and the like. I would like to pick up at least 10 more new accounts this year. Usually get a few roll in durring the next couple weeks as they realize the guy they hired is not what they expected.

Overall, my gross compared to this time last year is 60% improved over last year, so thats a very good sign.

Where are you advertising Kevin? Or are you just getting cold calls for LC

I have ad's running in the Warren and Sterling Heights local papers, plus we frequently pass out door hangers when work slows. I have gotten a pretty good response from our website too. Have been getting about 2-3 leads per week average from there. The advertising seems to be getting a good response overall, and plenty of calls, just not many intested in cutting it seems. I'm enjoying selling the higher margin services, but think Im pretty much at the end of Aerating and Dethatching season.

I've signed 3 new mowing accounts this week already though, so like I said things seem to be slowly picking up. As I expressed awhile back, alot of estimates I gave early in the season where just up against rediculously low rates that I couldnt even compete with. I was getting calls, just not signing anybody up. Now it seems alot of the super-cheaps are filled up and have withdrew their ads from the papers.

It seems like every week when I go to a job another person walks up and asks for a estimate, which is great because they already seen my work which helps. As far as advertising I have my # in the ph. book and word of mouth. Both have been good this year, many calls for work.
