I would love to know what you guys think. I am looking at buying a hustler soon.. Just demoed one today.. it was the Super Mini Z 24 Honda 52 inch .. Nice machine.. but I do a lot of residential.. and was thinking about going with the 44" deck for a cleaner cut.. what is the major difference between the Super Z and Super Mini Z...or would you just go with the regular Mini Z..... Thanks

I would go with the Super Mini 52" unless you have really small accounts. There is no trim edge on the 44" so it makes getting close to objects difficult. That is the reason I got rid of my Tiger and bought the Super Mini.

If you do a lot of Bermuda I would also choose the 44" deck with zero trim edge for the better cut. Bermuda shows the variations more than any other grass.

I cut here with a 48" lazer hp, but I've used 52" and other sizes. Match the wheels to the deck width to get the best cut on varying terrain and rutted lawns. You may have to trim a little more, but at least your cut won't look crummy. There's no fix for that. The longer the overhang of the deck vs. the wheels, the more undulating terrain affects the cut height way out at the tip of the deck. Just basic geometry.

But demo whatever you buy first to make sure it does the job. I note that the 44" has a lower blade tip speed than the others.
