I looked at a mini z today. I'm a little concerned about spindles that I can't grease, should I be?

Is the 17 horse Kawasaki a good motor for a 52" model. The dealer has one left and seems really motivated to sell it. I only cut 4 yards per week, but I want a mower that will last.

No you shouldn't, we have used these spindles for years, and they are used by many mfg's.
Do you mean 19hp? we don't offer a 17 on a Mini Z 52" unit, we do offer a 17 on the FasTrak.
The Mini Z is a full commercial unit made to work all day everyday, your use would not be a problem at all.

I was a little concerned about the 19 hp Kawasaki as well before I brought the 52" Mini Z home but, it has all the power that you will need. I personally am a Honda fan but was too tight to pay for the Honda but would have had to order it since the dealer didn't have one in stock. But since reading about some of the minor problems associated with the Honda I am now a Kawasaki fan -- but I still ride a Goldwing.
As far as spindle life is concerned, I don't think that it would/should be a problem for at least a couple of years or more.
I am very happy with the Mini Z if I could only get the turns down without tearing up the grass and my wife will quit running into my fruit trees.

I am considering a Mini-Z also with the 19 horse and the 52" cut..... Is it enough power in the 19 horse to throw the grass out or would the next size up be better? Would I be better off going up to the Super Mini Z??

What is the MSRP difference in the Super Mini and the Mini?

    The 19hp does fine.
Now you will be able to go a bit quicker running more HP and it will certainly make quicker work of the taller stuff.
    Here are your MSRP's...

I have a 52" Mini Z that I use in my mowing business, and I'm very happy with it. It does have the 19 hp Kawasaki engine and I have found the power to be quite adequate.

I probably would have bought the 23 hp if the dealer had had one when I bought my mower.....I believe you can never have too much horsepower!

Again, though, I've had no problems with the 19 hp and I'm very happy with the mower. You can't go wrong buying a Hustler!

I bought the Mini Z Saturday. I took it home and mowed the lawn and was very impressed. I found the 19 HP engine to be very capable. I am 100% pleased, and since it was a 2005 model I got a good price. I look forward to being a satisfied Hustler owner for years to come.

    Hey Pj,
Was this a good deal in your opinion? I don't know the year, I thought 2004, but may be 2003. I listed the serial number, can you tell me the year?
