Yeah, I use a scissor type trap. You need to locate the main tunnels. They generally nest in flower beds, under sheds, or anywhere there isn’t much traffic on the property. Most of the tunnels in the middle of the lawn will be feeding tunnels and are not useful to put a trap in, since they will not use these tunnels regularly. The main tunnel will come from the nest and then branch off into the feeding tunnels. Set a trap in that main tunnel.Anybody have experience in getting rid of these critters? Moles are tunneling through my customers yard. I have never dealt with critters.
I use them in conjunction with traps. Put them in the feeding tunnels and any tunnel along a border where you can’t set a trap.
I’ve never had any issues with using poison bait at properties with dogs/cats. In fact, most people who let their dogs roam their lawn, usually don’t have much of a mole problem to begin with. They won’t have much of a lawn to worry about either, depending on the size of the dog.If the client has dogs, I wouldn't use tapirid.
