More low bidding

    I just came back this afternoon from the bid opening at our airport. 544,926 sq. ft. lawn areas . 371,150 sq. ft. barked shrub beds.
    30 weeks mowing,shrub trimming, tree pruning,fert&weed spray 4 times,pesticde spray trees& shrubs 2 times, Weed control in shrub beds,trash pickup,
    Here are the bids including 8.1% sale tax.

    $93,979
    I didnt bid this year because I knew it would be a waste of time.We did this job 3 years ago. Its a open bid so every year these Co.s keep trying to under bid each other.

    Thats quite a range, if you don't mind saying what was your bid when you got it??? How accurate was your bid??

    I did it three years ago before they added about 40% more turf & shrub beds. Also we had only about 10 % of the shrubs to trim then. We did it for $28,000. It took us 14 man hrs to mow then.
