Mosquitoes and 2-Cycle exhaust ...

I haven’t had any problem with mosquitoes while running my equipment. I don’t know if it’s a real deterrent, but I think those things don’t care for 2-cycle exhaust. What do you guys think?

BS--could be that ...or your BO pitts. lol.

generally speaking, when I am working, I am moving too fast to notice them making me a target.

I do know for a fact that wasps that nest in bushes hate 2-cycle smoke. I used to have a trimmer that ran on 16 to 1 and if I questions about the bush before I started I'd fill it full of smoke before I started trimming.

if there was a wasp nest they'll take off without being mad.

may be cause im to old and wore out ,,but the dam things,, just dont wont my blood. never get bit. wish my grandkids were the same.:)
I did just have a love-sick Cicada trying to mount my Mower.

I couldn't figure it out at first. Was landing on the running mower. Didn't pay much attention to it. Then when I goy my trimmer out, he tried to land on it. Sounds a bit more like a Cicada than the mower did. I suppose the engine vibrations are about the same a Cicada sounds.

The trimmer was a bit too close for my comfort. I finally killed him.
next year we will have a major cicada reunion.

they haven't seen each other in 17 years!

personally, I can't wait to be invited!

the fishing will be incredible...as it was 17 years ago!:)
