Do you guys take your mowers to your dealer before the start of the year for a complete servicing? I've never done it, but i spoke with a competetor who swears by it. I've always just changed the filter/oil, replaced belts when needed, and checked air filter. Only carry my machine to the dealer when it breaks and it is something i can't/don't want to fix.

What does everyone do? What do you get when you take it?

Ill let mine go for warranty work, but I try to do anything I can at home. Most stuff isn't hard and stuff that seems hard isn't with a little patience. Routine stuff on a commercial mower takes me under an hour to do, change oil, check air filter, grease all fittings and sharpen blades. I tend to think I care more about my machine then they do, so I always make sure it has the best of everything.

I do it myself. Just remember to grease the zerks.

If it covered under warranty, they can do it.

i do everything i can myself. if there's something broken or i can't do myself then i'll take it to the dealer.

but the once a year oil change is easy and greasing when needed can be done yourself as well as cleaning the air filter and whatever other maintenance your mower requires.

most of the stuff your mower maintenance schedule has you do is pretty easy.

I do 90 percent of my own work. I took both of mine to the shop this spring for carb work.

I do all the maintenance myself. The price for hourly work at the local commercial lawn dealer has gone up to $65.00 an hour.

I do all my maintenance myself. However, I do like to have the shop look at it once a year-- I normally get it taken care of while its there for something else.
