What do you guys recommend using to mow new grass? It isn't a very large lawn. I would usually use my eXmark 48" with standard blades on it if it were established. I am afraid this may have too much lift though. I have a 21" walk behind I could use. What do you guys normally use?

Ditto on the 21. You may need to back the throttle down a bit too.

Not only will the 48 have too much lift, it will have too much potential to scuff the new turf on turns no matter how careful you are.

I also have a yard actually part of a ladies yard that she had hydroseeded, its about 2.5 to 3.5" tall, should I use a push mower on it, will be the 1st mow.
