The Standers are by far the best on hills.
  3. Personal opinion.

Any mower with a wide stance, large drive tires, and a low center of gravity.

    Preferrably a walkbehind.

I understand the walk behinds, I was referring to riders. We have mowed hills with the Lazers that I can barely even walk up. I wouldn't beleive it if I didn't have the guts (ignorance) to try it.

    Hustlers all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a Z and the 6400 Hillsider and can mow any hill a dozer can push......every roadside hill can be done with th 6400 the operator and engine tilt into the hill to shift the center of gravity... Oh yeah itts 6 thats six wheel drive too. The Z will go almost as many places because it is wide and low......before buying the 6400 we had mounted double wheels on an exmark but some of our hills still required an extra pair of pants...Not so with the 6400.... Way to go HUSTLER!!!!!!!!
  6. And the price is like? A Deweeze $50k

Best hillside mower that we ever owned was a ferris i/s when it was running. But I would agree with homer on the 72" d/c. I also have a 72" bladerunner that does very well. Get the widest track and lowest center of gravity.

Umm if i remember correctly a Dewezze is about 15k not 50 and the hustler 6400 is 31k but there is also a discount if you can get a govt contract and that will drop it to 29k i believe.
