Ok, not exactly a lawn, but close.
Thats sweet Jeff!, Is it yours? How many acres on the new farm?
no, the tractor belongs to a friend i work with. it's a JD 4455
the mower is an old New holland 411
I got off to look for a rock, and took this about 3pm this afternoon
As of now, there is no "new farm" i'm just doing custom work for other people, while trying to build the lawncare biz. I would estimate i will cut about 300 acres of hay this year, for various people in the area.
where in malvern you at?...we do about 50 acres of little bales over here in Unionville/ west chester area with a 4020 and a new holland haybine...nice set up though, them cab tractors are real nice on days like today
I'm near Herrshey's Mill and Immacculata
I used to farm more, now I just work for a friend who's a big farmer around here.
wouldn't be one of the Hicks brothers would it?
nope, i've baled some straw for pete in the past though
About how many standard bales of hay to you usually get per acre?
first cutting, usually about 50
second cutting more like 30
we try for 50lb bales
Cool, my family and I run a horse farm here in Mass. I am haying for a guy up the road for me since he has gotten too old to do it. 35 acres of pure hayfields!
