MSMA Herbicide

    I've got several customers who have problems with crabgrass and nutsedge growing along the side's of their lawn. What's the best type of herbicide used to get rid of this stuff.<br>

    trimec plus works wanders to get rid of crabgrass and nutsedge!

    First of all are you sure you have Crabgrass? It may be Dallisgrass or some other weed which looks like Crabgrass. I just saw crabgrass here in central Virginia for the first time last week. The soil temp has to be 55 deg for it to even germinate. As for nutsedge, the type we have here doesn't rear its ugly head until August. Manage which is sold at Lesco does a great job of controlling nutsedge. MSMA is good for the initial application for crabgrass control but I prefer Acclaim. Wait until it is at least 75 deg before you spray any of these products or you will be spraying for nothing.
