I am mulching for two banks.
I think im going to need about 2900 square ft of mulch
I need help pricing for labor.
My mulch dealer is basically right next door and he priced me $34 per 100 sq ft
To me that seems kind of high. So i might look to have some delivered from kansas city.
Ive done mulch before but never this much,
    any help would be appreciated.
    -god bless

you will need 18 & half yards of mulch (just make it 19)at 2 inch's thick
and if the beds have never been edge that will take more labor and dump fees
so say that you had to edge i would charge $2000.00 for the first time and $1450.00 every time after that rough guess hope that this helps!!!1

I pay $30 to $38 per year of bark. I charge labor+materials. I figure about $40 to $54 per yard with labor depending on how much I have to haul or if I get it delivered. If you do the math there is 46656 cubic inches per yard,at 2" it takes 288 cubic inches per sq ft. 162 sq ft per yard= 17.9 yards of bark mulch. I always get about 5% more than I think I will need! You will need 18 yards but like was previously stated you better get 19. I would be between $850 and $1050.

I pay from 13 to 16 per yard if I buy from the yard and deal with 3 suppliers depending
on who is closer to the job(look at fuel prices!)I charge 55 to 60 per yard installation
and 30 per hour for any edging or bed prep.I have 5 employees earning from $8 to $11
per hour.I still make better money mowing! One thing you have to look at is how much
mulch you actually get in a yard.My suppliers load with a heaped yard bucket ,double
ground wet bark mulch which will go much farther than coarse ground dry mulch in thatsame bucket.A cheaper price may mean less volume of mulch in the bucket
or a smaller bucket! So be careful! Sometimes a different loader operator makes a big difference!!

it is about 19 yrds of mulch.i would do 50 bucks per yrd spread plus whatever the mulch is times it by 19 yrds that will give you a good estimate :jester:
