Okay this may be (and probably is) a dumb question but here it goes......How much surface area does 1 cubic yard of mulch cover if it is laid at a depth of 3"? This is my first year and am still trying to figure out pricing and how much material covers what. I don't want to under estimate my first few jobs. Thanks for the help.

This link is just one of many mulch calculators available on the net. Just type it in a search or use this address. They were very helpful to me initially and still are in some cases.

You should have done a search first. I think I posted a calculator or formula of some kind a few days back. It was, however, a repost from someone else.
