Is that including prep work and edging out the beds and everything? To answer the questioin that you posed I would say spread out over a few strategic locations.

Put your sign out without a price. Customers have no idea how much mulch they need . If you need a catch sell "FREE BED EDGING" and just raise your price to $75 or $80 a yard installed. The idea is to get calls and sell the service onsite. Never give them a comparison price per yard because they can shop that on the phone. Never say to them "you'll need 6 yrds at $xx per yard. Tell them what "ALL" YOU'LL DO for just $XXX . Your goal is to get face to face with them to give them a final price for the completed job. Usually you can seal the deal as long as your not outrageous in your final price. Sell yourself and they won't shop your final price.

that is the rate in my area...and if i get a half yard free for every 2 yards i think i am doing pretty good . i put out a yard in 30 minutes . so that is 50.00 per hour.

I get 75.00 per yard for hard wood mulch and 80.00 per yard for midnight mulch. I have not had a person tell me it was too much. I usually give them a range in price like tell them "it will be from 6-8 yards to do your job" that way if it takes 6 i bill for six and if it takes 8 then i am not screwed for the difference. It all works out. Good luck.

Not really. How long does it take to load and haul that mulch all over the countryside. I guess if you were doing 5 of them, side by side, you may come close to grossing that. Gas, insurance (business and vehicle), windshield time.
