I was wondering if I could use eucalyptos leaves and pine needles for mulching? I know that both plants have strong chemicals that mix into the soil kill other plants around it, are these chemicals in the leaves? If I can use them how would I go about making mulch out of it?

pine needled do not kill other plants.
they acidify the soils, so mostly acid loving plants grow in these areas.

We use thousands of bales of pine straw per year, and have never seen it "kill" a plant. We have alkiline soils, so the added acidity helps us out.
