Hey guys im just getting into mulch bed installs this year. But I really don't know what to charge. I will be picking up materials and delivering and putting it down. But my question is how to charge is it by foot or yard. If you could help me out that would be great. Thanks

Just charge the cost of the material+markup+how long you think it will take you.
Alot of people have set prices per yard but I use bags on most residentials. Bags are a little more expensive but they save me lots of time on smaller jobs.

You can calculate an average cost per yard, but you have to adjust.
You will adjust for the type of mulch, because you pay different prices.
Sometimes you can just shovel it from the truck to the bed and other times you have to load a wheelbarrow and push it up the wet hill two thousand yards.

I suggest that you use the words "deliver and apply mulch" rather than install mulch. I know it is just me and a lot of guys say "install mulch" and "install trees".

There is a lot of money in mulch, good luck!

Pretty much how we do it as well. We are out here in BFE so we can not get it bulk. Bags for customers material+markup+labor.
So like:
weeding, putting down paper, mulch, + markup on material+labor for all= price.

It's 25 just to install, ususally that's what iam Doug for a realy good family friend, iam also doing other services for him tho, including aeration and roto tilling a garden for him, usually it's 45 per yard, And on e I learn how, I will be installing a sprinkler system for him. I know the basics (zones, types of heads, when to us drip iraggation, control boxes, how rain sensor dosent work sondont waste your money, and you need a pipe puller to do he job, and it looks like a gopher has been thru your yard when your done, and in the winter you need a semi large air compressor to do winter blow outs) so I know a little but not all of it
