I am a new member. I do landscape and lawn care work. I have an opportunity to buy a tractor-trailor load of mulch, double ground. A tractor-trailor load would be about 60-80 yards for $400.00 delivered to my yard. Do any of you guys think that this is a good deal. Any help would be appreciated.

PS Once the mulch is on my yard, I can load it with a bobcat or a tractor. So loading it is not a problem.

Is this cyprus mulch? Can you use it all before it turns grey? The price is VERY good, you are getting it for 5-7$/yard.

No, it's not cypress mulch, it is hardwood. I can already use two loads of it on my contract, so I think I should be able to use it before it turns grey. At the local mulch yard where I usually buy my materials, I am paying about $14.00 per yard now.

I think you answered your own question.

Not to mention the additional savings of not sending someone to yard to pick up materials.

Yeah if you can use it, it sounds like a heck of a deal.
