Just wondering if I'm the only one who waits for frogs and toads to get out of my way while mowing. I always feel bad when I mulch one. I've even been known to stop the mower, get off, and put them somewhere safe.

I slow down or wait for them to get clear but sometimes its unavoidable. However, my lazer hp does mulch frogs well. I would recommend it for frog mulchers over those orange mowers:p

I waited for 2 frogs to get out of the way when I was trimming not too long ago. I won't wait for snakes, I'll chop them up if I get a chance.

I had to wait for a frog and help a turtle move out of the way today. Took a 4' Black Racer (snake) for a ride today on my shoulders while I was mowing. I think it was enjoying the ride. I swear this property has every type of animal on it since it's a riverside property. So far I've seen moles, ground hogs, turtles, frogs, snakes, deer, two falcon and a hawk.

I'm an animal lover, too, and always try to avoid killing them when driving as well as cutting grass.I see alot of turtles in the road and have stopped my truck on a number of occassions to remove them from the highway.I do get a certain amount of pleasure, though, from killing fireants and wasps.

We have Cane Toads here that where introduced many years ago from South America. There speading all over the country now and anything that eats them, dies! I chase them down with the mower and have even stopped the car to back over or have a second go at the toxic little or not so little buggers. Back in the day, we used to go out with golf clubs, bats, shovels, axes, pitch forks etc to kill them. Funny at the time but pretty cruel.

Between your spiders, sharks, snakes (and now cane toads), have you ever thought about moving to a place where you're not part of the food chain for so many??? Sounds to me like you're one of the endangered species down under...lol

The other day I was mowing a feild and it was full of mice.
I couldn't really avoid them because there were so bloody many of em...............So I changed the blades yeterday and there were little bits of mouse guts stuck up between the cutter disk and spindal...............Not the go I can tell you now.......so I would avoid such critters in the future:)
