Bought a new Super Z 60" last year and love it.
    Now I need a 48" mulching mower.
X-ONE or will the smaller Fasttrack super duty be enough?
    Which deck mulches the best?

Both work well, but when mulching you must remember not to overload the system. It doesn't matter what color machine you have if you attempt to cut off too much grass you'll get clumps. When done within the units limits you'll love the cut. If given a choice I would go with the X1 only because its a deeper deck and will handle more debris.

Yeah, I've been turning things over in my mind.
    It's for a large cemetery.
After some initial measurements, I don't think the SD will be able to back over the curbs.
I was considering the 54 rear discharge but am afraid the grass is just dropped behind the deck and not really dispersed.
Ironically, the first video I watch on the Hustler site was a rear discharge Hustler in a cemetery!
This cemetery will be mowed once a week so it shouldn't get to the point of being unmanageable for a mulching deck.
It's being cut now with a Bob-Cat Procat 48" with open discharge chute.
I'm looking at trying to keep as much clippings off headstones as possible.
So, it looks like a 48" X-One with a mulching deck, optional rear deck wheel, flex forks.
I noticed the 48 has a different rear tire, hope it's as narrow over all as the BC.
