What does everyone do with mums that you planted last fall? Do you cut them down, let them grow, or just rip them up and buy new ones this fall?
To tell you the honest truth, i get them so cheap i just plant them in the pots and then throw them away after they have done what they are going to do. Unless you have to time to keep them pinched back the next season, they wont ever be as nice as the ones you get at the nursery.

cut them to the ground, they will come back.

However they sometimes come back leggy.

If this is for a customer, recomend new ones.Remove the old.
