How many of you do work for municipalities? Namely mowing. I live in Central Illinois & would like to know what you see as an AVERAGE price/acre. Yes, there are many veriable but someone is doing it now so you should know the price. I'm seeing 20-22/acre. Sounds low but you can sometimes knock out 30-40 acres at a crack without moving.

I have found that muni jobs can actually be a loss (unless the jobs are for a multi year contract). The reason for this:

they go with the lowest bidder (last year lost a schools contract to a $10 an acre bid!)

slow pay

many have equipment specs

We have 1000 wonderful prison inmates running arround all over "saving the tax payers money " , while destroying equipment .

My opinion also - have no idea what equipment (or lack of) he has. I do think it is a husband/wife team
