    Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly does the power rake do?

    Yup.. The Power Rake is another word for Dethatcher.
    The Tines on the Machine "Comb" the Lawn, Bringing to the surface all the brown stuff that looks like it's matted into the lawn.

    Does dethatching leave a lot of debris? If so do you clean it up? I am still learning a lot, it wont be a service I will offer, unless asked maybe, but its always nice to know.

    yes it leaves a lot of debris behind. you either have to rake it up or run it over with your lawn mower w/ bagger. it leaves behind all of the dead grass it pulls up. you can see in the picture how much it pulled up. look in the back yard, you can see where he did and didnt do.

    what do you guys do after you dethatch? just rake/collect all the thatch? or do you seed and fert it along with a top dress of sand? i see a lot of guys around here just raking it up and leaving
