I just had 4 new tires put on my tandem trailer and the guy said that I had 4 nails in the right rear tire tire. The rear tires where pretty slick to begin with and he said that he sees alot of tandems with nails in the rear tires. Anyone see this happen on their trailers? Can't wait til I get the cabover.

The nails on the right side are probably because you aren't staying on the road 100% of the time. The roadside shoulders are full of nails. Also, the rear tires hold most of the weight until the tongue moves down and some of the weight goes to the front tires; hence, more nails in the back.

the reason i've heard for the nails in the rear is the front tire kicks the nail up and then the rear rolls over it.
