Necrotic(sp?) Ring Spot was is the best solution to get rid of it. How long does it take fungicide to work?

humate does a wonderful job, you'll never see it again.

It does not kill it, it feeds it and it goes back into the soil. What is going on is the fungi is trying to produce a fruiting body (mushroom) because the stress is so great it figures its a goner and is going to bloom and spread its seed

It will happen year after year unless you feed the hyphi, you can try to kill it but it just sporalates and waits til next year, feed it and it will go away

kind of counterintuitive but it works, humate is an excellent fungal food

You'll think this is crazy too. we use good fungi to kill the bad fungi

I always get the eyes to roll back on that statement, look up trichoderma

    Thanks Bill.
however may I suggest overeseed the spots with a top quality disease-resistant seed containing both rye and bluegrass. Make sure you seed about 6 inches outside of the ring--in case it gets bigger next year. Organic--no chemicals needed.

Consider overseeding the whole yard in fall. You need to slit seed or do double aeration first.
